How is the class size like?
The typical class size is approximately 20-25 people. This size provides an optimum learning experience between the students and the professor as well as among the students.

The average student-teacher ratio is 20:1. The maximum student-teacher ratio is 40:1.
Where are classes held?
The EMSc program is conducted entirely in Singapore. All classes in Singapore (unless otherwise specified) are held at Concorde Hotel, Orchard Road where our administration office and classroom are. We are centrally located in the heart of Orchard Road and easily accessible by public transportation.
How are the school’s facilities like?
All classes (unless otherwise specified) are taught in our campus’s classroom and has a capacity of 40 people seated in a classroom-style or cluster configuration. It is equipped with classroom tables and chairs, a whiteboard, and a projector and screen. Light refreshments are provided to students during classes. We have discussion areas within our premise for students to meet up for their projects.
Admissions and Program:
Do I need to take the GRE/GMAT?
GRE/GMAT is not required. However applicants with the GRE/GMAT will be advantageous.
Do I need to be working in any industry to be eligible for this program?
No, however you must hold at least 3 years of working experience in any industry. Students from different work experience will definitely bring value and vibrancy to class discussion.
How is the class profile like?
A typical cohort is comprised of Singaporean citizens and Permanent Residents as well as foreign nationals living and working in Singapore. In an average class of 25 students, 10 or more nationalities will be represented which provides for a unique learning environment enriched by students from a variety of cultures as well as different professional backgrounds and experience.
How often is the curriculum updated for the individual modules?
One of the key features of the EMSc is its focus on the real-world applicability of its course material. The Program Directors of the Executive MSc Programs at Baruch College, The City University of New York review its curriculum every intake to maximize learning and ensure it is timely and updated to the business world.
Are the professors that teach the EMSc from Baruch College, The City University of New York or are they local professors?
All of the professors are employed by Baruch College, The City University of New York and flown to Singapore to teach the EMBA program modules. The professors, course content, and course books and materials are equivalent to those offered and used on the New York campuses. To ensure the content is relevant for the students, our professors will include content and case studies that are relevant to the Asia Pacific context.
How do students receive their course material?
All course notes and textbooks will be provided to students. Typically, course materials are issued to students in advance to allow students to do pre-reading before the class begins. In addition, students have access to the university’s Blackboard and the E-Library resources.
How is the assessment structure for the EMSc like?
The assessment is made up of 100% coursework with no examinations and dissertations. The coursework component may include quizzes, class participation/presentations, assignments.
Is attendance compulsory for the program?
A minimum of 75% attendance is compulsory for all modules. From above, the coursework component may occur throughout the module and contributes to the overall grade for the module. The course schedule is provided in advance for students to plan their work schedule accordingly.
Is the degree certificate awarded by the university?
Yes, upon successful completion of course, you will receive a MSc degree from The Baruch College, The City University of New York and a certificate in your field of studies. The degree awarded is exactly the same as conferred on campus.
What are the options for further academic pursuit after completing the program?
Graduates can choose to pursue a Doctoral degree or other Master degree of their choice.
What financial aid is available?
There are several sources of financial aid (loans) that candidates may consider. Once you have been accepted into the program, we can guide you through the process. A variety of education loans are available.
